Electrical installation

Installation work is carried out by electricians and sub-contractors with over thirty years of industry experience, on projects for national and international clients across a wide range of sectors. First fix through to energisation: containment, cable pulling, terminations, distribution boards and final circuits.

We also work as the electrical arm of mechanically biased projects. Where a package is led by mechanical trades and needs electrical support to complete, we develop a close working relationship with the project team and pick up that scope rather than leaving a gap in it.

02Conception to handover

Electrical and instrument project management

We provide clients with experienced project management and site supervision from conception through to commissioning and project handover. One supervisor owns the programme, the labour and the paperwork, so there is a single person to ask where the work stands.

On live sites the daily plan is built around the client's dates, not ours. We sequence work with the main contractor and the production team, and we say early when a date is at risk rather than on the day it slips.

03MV and LV · all industrial sectors

Inspection and testing

Qualified inspection and testing technicians with detailed knowledge of BS 7671 18th edition 2022, Guidance Note 3 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Initial verification and certification on new work, periodic inspection on existing installations, and fault finding when something on site has stopped behaving.

Certificates and schedules come back in a form your duty holder can file, with defects listed by circuit and coded so you can see what needs attention first.

04Time served · CompEx qualified

Instrument calibration and commissioning

Time-served instrument technicians, BEAMEX MC6 trained and CompEx qualified, working on project installations and shutdowns. Calibration, loop checking and trip testing carried out with traceable results, so the commissioning team can sign a loop off the first time it is presented.

On safety-related loops we work to the SIL level the design calls for and record the proof test the way the safety case requires.

05Set-up · commissioning · checks

Control and safety systems

Set-up, commissioning and functional checks on communication networks, control systems, motor circuits and safety devices. We prove that what the drawing says should happen is what actually happens when the guard is opened or the trip is called.

Work on PLC-controlled plant is done alongside the client's automation team, with each tested function marked off against the functional design specification.

06Workshop build · onsite support

Panel building

Panel building by time-served panel builders with experience in junction boxes, control panels and automation control systems. Panels are built, wired and tested in the workshop, then delivered ready to install.

We also install onsite and stay available during and after commissioning, so a wiring question three weeks into production goes back to the people who built the panel.
